Silvertown tunnel opens, while campaigners call for repurposing
Campaigners made another appeal to the London mayor, calling for repurposing the tunnel for public transport, cyclists and active travel, for "the welfare of future generations .. and the sake of Londoners' health".
Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah's statue unveiled in Mountsfield Park, Catford
Ella's mother, Rosamund and her siblings unveiled the bronze statue, which stands close to where she lived and went to school. The statue is 1.37m (4 ft 6") tall, the same height that Ella was when she died tragically, aged nine.
GLA air quality monitors still closed as Silvertown tunnel prepares to open
Transport for London has assured residents that the GLA will monitor dangerous PM2.5 pollution when the tunnel opens. But the GLA's Breathe London monitors are closed.
Tfl offers free buses and bike shuttle bus through Silvertown tunnel
Tfl announced that travel on routes 108, 129 and SL4, and a shuttle bus for cyclists will be free for one year. But commercial cargo bikes are too big for the shuttle, while London Cycling Campaign calls the offer "greenwashing".

Silvertown tunnel to open 7th April - locals brace for "HGVs ploughing through our roads"
The twin-bore tunnel runs under the Thames between north Greenwich and Newham, and will bring up to 30,000 additional vehicles a day to the area. It offers a new route for HGVs to cross southeast and east London.
